for me personally, i think life in an other planet is as true as life in another country, wich is obviuss... coz of tha size of tha universe and tha fact that our planet is like a spitt in an ocean, so for me I strongly belive that there's life on another planet. Wat kinda life, or how advanced they r (technichally), i can't really guess though... remember, life don need to mean that they look like us, or that they'r green, or so, it might just be sumkinda small virus-like organisms or so... besides, wat u all people haven't thought about is tha fact that our galaxy is in tha outer parts of tha growing universe, and for u who don know wat that means: our planet, and therefor life on our planet, has existed more than planets in tha center of tha universe... and if there's life there, it's probably not as advanced as we r.... offcours there might be life on sum of tha other billions of planets in tha outerparts of tha universe, but still, i don think they'd be so much more technologically advanced than us... offcours assuming that they'r just as smart as we r... if they'r smarter, then they'd have passed us a long time ago... crap.. i can go on for ever here, so i'll just stopp and answer Sima's question shortly: Yes, i think there's life on other planets!

So the husband calls 10 of her best girlfriends and none of them confirmed that. Friends of men: A husband was not at home for a whole night. So he tells his wife the next morning, that he had to stay at his friend's apartment overnight. So the wife calls 10 of his best friends. 5 of them confirmed that he stayed at their apartments that night. The other 5 claimed that he is still with them. SilverClaw

Lebanese PM resigns, dissolves cabinet

>>From: lil´n
Message 1 in Discussion
BEIRUT (AP) Â? Prime Minister Rafik Hariri resigned, dissolved his Cabinet and made the surprise announcement Wednesday that he would not try to form the next government, dropping out of the political scene at a time when Syria's role in Lebanon is being challenged by the United Nations.

Hariri, a self-made billionaire who has led Lebanon most of the time since the 1975-1990 civil war ended, has been in a rivalry with pro-Syrian President Emile Lahoud for years.

The move could be political posturing to secure a stronger mandate from parliament that, should he ultimately accept the job, would better position him in the struggle with Lahoud. Declining now and accepting later, also could improve the standing of Hariri's parliamentary bloc ahead of elections expected in May.

Hariri submitted his resignation to Lahoud during a brief meeting in the presidential palace, his office said. The statement also said Hariri will not seek to lead the next government.

Lahoud accepted the Cabinet resignation but did not comment on Hariri's decision.

Hariri had initially opposed an amendment to the constitution to extend the president's term Â? a Syrian-backed move that drew international condemnation. But Hariri ultimately changed his stance and backed the amendment Â? leading most to expect he would be reappointed as prime minister when Lahoud's next presidential term begins in late November.

The U.N. Security Council has urged Syria, the main powerbroker in Lebanon, to end its political and military involvement in its tiny neighbor. The Lebanese parliament's extension of pro-Syrian Lahoud's term was a direct challenge to the Security Council, which also demands Syria withdraw its remaining 14,000 troops from Lebanon.

U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan is to report every six months on Syrian compliance.

With all the pressure on Syria and Lebanon's pro-Syrian politicians, Hariri's extensive international contacts would have been crucial to settling matters. But he and Lahoud apparently failed to bridge their differences.

For the past two weeks, they'd been trying to reach an agreement over the composition of the new Cabinet, but reportedly were at odds over the size of the government.

"After the talks I held with Mr. President of the Republic and the parliament speaker, I found it suitable to extend the government's resignation. And I apologize for not nominating myself to head the (next) government," Hariri said.

The dissolution of the Cabinet is traditional ahead of a new presidential term, but the president can Â? and often does Â? name the same person to lead the next government.

2 Muslim girls expelled under new French law

2 Muslim girls expelled under new French law
Students refused to remove head scarves; 2 more risk same fate

PARIS - Two Muslim girls who refused to remove their head scarves in class have been expelled from their schools, and two more risked the same fate Wednesday as officials began taking action against those who defy a new French law banning conspicuous religious symbols from public schools.

Two girls, ages 12 and 13, were expelled from a school in the eastern city of Mulhouse on Tuesday night Â? the first to be expelled from French public schools under the new law, the Education Ministry said.

Two 17-year-old girls risk the same fate when their schools convene two disciplinary councils Wednesday, said Gilles-Jean Klein, spokesman for the Academy of Strasbourg, which oversees schools in the area.

There are 72 cases of students who risk expulsion for refusing to remove conspicuous religious signs or apparel. Most are Muslim girls who wear Islamic head scarves. However, some Sikh school boys who refuse to remove turbans are among the 72.

Right to appeal
Those expelled have the right to appeal their cases to the head of the academy. If they are under 16 Â? the legal age for leaving school Â? the expelled students must continue their education at a private school, by correspondence or another means, Klein said.

Some 600 cases of defiance of the law were counted at the start of the school year in September, but most have been resolved through dialogue Â? as called for in the law, Education Minister Francois Fillon said Tuesday.

The law, passed in March but applied starting with the opening of school in September, bans conspicuous religious signs and apparel, including Jewish skull caps and large Christian crosses. But Muslim head scarves were the main reason for the ban.

The law is intended to uphold FranceÂ?s constitutionally guaranteed principle of secularism, considered undermined by a growing number of Muslim girls wearing head scarves in public school classrooms.

In the first court case resulting from the law, Sikh leaders have asked an administrative court to force the Louise-Michel school to convene a disciplinary council or let the boys into classrooms. A ruling is expected Friday.

Britney Spears

>>From: Thaloush271
Message 1 in Discussion
Britney Spears is taking some time away from her career to enjoy her new marriage to dancer Kevin Federline, and she can't wait to start a family, according to her Web site.

"My prerogative right now is to just chill and let all of the other overexposed blondes on the cover of Us Weekly be your entertainment .... good luck girls!" the Web site says.

Spears says she's been "going and going" all the time since she was 15, but after she hurt her knee on the set of a video and had surgery, she knew she'd have to take some time off.

"It's amazing what advisors will push you to do, even if it means taking a naive, young, blonde girl and putting her on the cover of every magazine," the site said.

Spears' greatest hits album, aptly titled "My Prerogative," is due out in stores Nov. 9

Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, were married Sept. 18 at at private home in the Studio City, Calif. area with about 30 people attending. Documents formalizing the marriage were filed Oct. 7.

Federline was previously involved with actress Shar Jackson of TV's "Moesha." They have two children Â? a 2-year-old and a newborn.

In January, Spears married childhood friend Jason Alexander in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas. That marriage was annulled 55 hours later.

wat a dumpface! they get married and divorce like they change their clothe lol!! nat

Make the woman happy

>>From: TheSilverClaw
Message 1 in Discussion
For thousands of years, men have tried to understand the Rules when dealing with women. Finally, this merit/demerit guide will help you to understand just how it works. Remember, in the world of romance, one single rule applies:

MAKE THE WOMAN HAPPY Do something she likes, and you get points. Do something she dislikes and points are deducted. You don't get any points for doing something she expects. Sorry, that's the way the game is played.

Here is a guide to the points system:

SIMPLE DUTIES:

You make the bed.......................................................................................................... +1

You make the bed, but forget to add the decorative pillows......................................... 0

You throw the bedspread over rumpled sheets............................................................. -1

You leave the toilet seat up............................................................................................. -5

You replace the toilet paper roll when it is empty........................................................... 0

When the toilet paper roll is barren, you resort to Kleenex.......................................... -1

When the Kleenex runs out you use the next bathroom................................................ -2

You go out to buy her a treat.......................................................................................... +5

In the snow .............................................................................................................. +8

But return with beer......................................................................................................... -5

And no treat................................................................................................................ -25

You check out a suspicious noise at night..................................................................... 0

You check out a suspicious noise and it is nothing........................................................ 0

You check out a suspicious noise and it is something........................................... +5

You pummel it with a six iron....................................................................................... +10

It's her cat................................................................................................................... -40
